You cannot join an “Invite Only” Crew even if there is room for more players. The “Invite” button does nothing. You do not receive a notification so there is no way of knowing if you have been invited. And “Invite Only” Crews are not visible in the “Join Crews” tab. So there is no way of joining them!
Try being in the same room as the person who’s trying to invite you.

Thanks 6_7 that works! It appears that you do have to be in the same room to get the invite. You still cannot invite friends from your drop-down friend list if they are not in the same room. I think that is a bug that needs to be addressed.

Thank you for working on this!!! We have a few spots on our crew that we want to fill but we don’t want to make it “public” because we are sick of removing people who keep jumping in and not helping us! It will be GREAT when we can invite our friends who want to join!!!
Just tell your friends to join through the board or go into the same room as them
