5 card Charlie used to win against anything…when and why was it changed to be unless dealer has bj?.. it’s hard enough to win without any further edge for the house.

you wont have a chance to get a charlie when the dealer has blackjack, because the round automatically ends if the dealer has a blackjack

I just had a five card charlie (6 cards, actually) totaling 18. Dealer exposed 18 also and the score was a tie. Why?
Never take 6 cards. Taking the 6th negates the “5 card Charlie”
6 7 you are in error. the dealer only turns over a blackjack if the Ace if face up…if the Ace is in the hole the hand plays out and you will lose the 5 card Charlie if you have one.
Dealer always checks for BJ if their face card is a 10.

Dealer checks for insurance when an Ace is showing.
If the dealer has a 10-value face card, they will check for blackjack, but there’s no animation of them “checking for blackjack”.
If there’s an Ace underneath, it will be flipped over and you lose. If there’s no Ace, gameplay resumes as normal.

luck and charms have nothing to do with seeing how the game plays. The dealer does NOT turn over a blackjack resulting from an Ace in the hole until the round ends. Anyone who plays the game can see that in any session…why are you trying to be such a know-it-all…when you are not. Let people play and keep your opinions to yourself…especially when they are so wrong.
When the dealer has a 10-value card face-up, they check their hidden card for an Ace. If an Ace is underneath, the dealer has a natural blackjack.
How the Hand Resolves
- Immediate Collection: The dealer reveals the Ace, collects all player bets, and ends the round on the spot.
- No Player Choices: Players do not get a chance to hit, stand, double down, or split.
not what happens…have played numerous hands where dealer blackjack is not shown until all hands are played…and the dealer blackjack is shown at the end.
have asked for Vegas World ruling on this…so far nothing. But…if you are right 6_7…someone should tell the dealer…because it does not happen!!! Many times a BJ has been a “push” because the dealer does NOT turn up the Ace underneath until the end of the round.
I’ve played over 250,000 hands of BlackJack and I can assure you that what I previously stated is true. Send me a video recording of the dealer having a BJ, but not revealing it until the end of the round.
some tables do not reveal a dealer blackjack until the end of the round. Alternate rule: At some tables, the dealer checks for blackjack but does not turn over the cards until the end of the round. I agree with you Cupid. I have seen this happen while playing BJ as welll. Please advise on VW decision.
seen this scenario play out last night during BJ. I had a 20 dealer pulls a BJ.

I would not waste my time. As for your 250K hands…I have probably logged as many…it proves nothing. I have played in group tables…with Hula…with Maria and in singles with both. I said what I have observed and you attempt to call me a liar for what I have observed. VW confirms that what you said is what is “supposed” to happen. Many things on this site do not occur the way they are “supposed” to…but perhaps you have not noticed that? Let it be and stop trying to impress with your vast knowledge. Others players have experience as well as you.
